Enabling Remote Work Through SharePoint During COVID
The W's of the Story.
01
COVID disrupted normal workforce routines and exposed gaps in how information moved through the organization. Nathan focused on the friction people experienced and adapted SharePoint and collaboration workflows so personnel could find information, maintain personnel visibility, coordinate tasks, and continue administrative work away from the office. The effort accelerated his transition from administering existing systems to designing applications around real user needs and strengthened his belief that technology should create margin by removing avoidable barriers.
02
During Nathan’s second tour at SUBREADRON 36, COVID-era restrictions disrupted normal in-person routines and required the organization to sustain personnel coordination and administrative work through remote and distributed methods.
03
Existing information flows depended too heavily on normal office access and routines. Personnel needed reliable ways to find information, maintain visibility, coordinate tasks, and continue essential administrative work while operating away from the workplace.
04
Nathan focused on the friction users were experiencing and built or refined SharePoint and collaboration workflows around those needs. He organized accessible information and processes that supported personnel visibility, task coordination, and continuity outside the office.
05
Technology creates meaningful value when it gives people margin during difficult conditions. Resilient digital workflows should remove avoidable barriers, preserve shared awareness, and help an organization continue its mission when familiar routines disappear.
